You can stay in accommodations right behind the school or in a hostal or hotel in Riohacha. The beach of Mayapo is far away from mass tourism and very quiet, clean and relaxing.

The one and only IKO Kiteboarding Pro Center in la Guajira and the first Kiteboarding School in Mayapo, la Guajira – Colombia. You want to learn how to kitesurf, rent equipment, do kite trips or improve your jumps? Than you have found the perfect place to go!

In the mornings we often have Side-Offshore East wind that changes around 10am-02pm to Side Onshore North East Wind.

We offer private Kiteboarding lessons in English, Spanish and German. Our top priority is your safety and happiness, that’s why we teach according to the IKO standards, including accidental insurance and all safety elements necessary (life vest, helmet, rescue boat). Our school is situated right at the beach where you can relax between lessons, enjoy fresh seafood in your lunch time in the restaurant next door and hang out with other riders.

Finally we finished the construction of our new Kite Center where you can learn to kite, rent the newest Duotone equipment, enjoy a nice drink at the beach, join a Downwinder or just relax and enjoy the Kite Show!

Kite Lessons for Kids

The earlier the better! We love to teach kids how to kite and try to do that in a funny and safe way. With kids our priority is their safety that’s why they usually advance slower than adults.
